１５章
1. その時徴税請負人たちと罪人たちが、皆彼に聞こうとして近寄ってきました。
2. すると、ファリサイ派の人々や律法学者たちが文句を言いました。「この男は罪人たちを受け入れて彼らと一緒に食事している。」
3. そこで、彼は彼らにこの譬えを語って仰せられました。
4. 「あなたがたのうちの一人が百匹の羊を持っていて、そのうちの一匹を失ったら、その野に九十九匹を残し、それから、その失われている一匹を見つけるまでは、追っていかないだろうか？
5. そして、彼がそれを見つけたら、彼はそれを両肩に乗せて喜び、
6. それから、彼が家に帰って来て、彼は友人たちや隣人たちを呼んで、彼らに言う。『私と一緒に喜んでくれ。なくしていた私の羊を見つけたから！』
7. 私はあなたがたに言う。同じように天では、悔い改めを必要としていない九十九人の義人たちのことよりも、一人の罪人が悔い改めた時に、もっと大きな喜びがある。
8. また、十枚の銀貨を持っている婦人がいて、もし、彼女が一枚をなくしてしまったら、灯かりをつけて、家を掃き、そして、それを見つけるまでは注意深く捜さないだろうか？
9. それから、彼女がそれを見つけたなら、彼女は自分の友だちや隣人たちを呼んで、こう言う。『私と一緒に喜んでください。なくしていた一つを見つけましたから。』
10. 私はあなたがたに言う。同じように、天では天の神の使いたちの前で、悔い改めている罪人のための喜びがある。」
11. その時、彼は仰せられました。「ある男性に二人の息子がいた。
12. そして、彼らのうちの弟が彼の父に言った。『お父さん、私に財産の分け前を下さい。』そこで、彼は彼らに自分の生活費を分けてやった。
13. それから、そんなに経たないうちに、その弟息子は全部まとめ、遠い国に旅立った。そして、自分の分を放蕩な暮らしをして無駄遣いしてしまった。
14. しかし、彼が全部使ってしまった時、その地に厳しい飢饉が起きた。そして、彼は窮乏し始めた。
15. その時、彼はその国のある市民の所に入れてもらった。すると、彼は彼を自分の畑で豚を飼うようにと送り込んだ。
16. そこで彼は豚の食べる豆のさやで腹を満たそうと願ったが、だれも彼に何もくれなかった。
17. しかし、彼は我に返った時、彼は言った。『自分の父の、どんなに多くの雇われ人たちが十分食べて余らせていることだろう。それなのに、自分は飢えて滅びようとしている！
18. 私は立って自分の父親の所に行こう。そして、彼にこう言おう。｢お父さん、私は天に対しても、あなたに対しても罪を犯しました。
19. 私はもう、あなたの息子と呼ばれる資格はありません。私をあなたの雇い人と同じようにして下さい。」』
20. それから、彼は立って、彼の父親の所に行った。しかし、彼がまだ非常に遠くにいた時、彼の父親は彼を見て、可愛そうに思った。そして、走って行って彼の首を抱き、彼にキスをした。
21. すると、その息子は彼に言った。『お父さん、私は天に対しても、あなたの前でも、罪を犯しました。私はもう、あなたの息子と呼ばれる資格はありません。』
22. しかし、その父親は彼の僕たちに言いつけた。『最上の着物を持ってきなさい。そして、彼に着せ、（そして）彼の手に指輪をはめ、彼の足にサンダルを履かせなさい。
23. そして、太った子牛をここに連れてきて、それをほふりなさい。それから、私たちは食べて喜ぼう。
24. この私の息子は死んでいたのだ。それが生き返っている。彼をなくしていたのだが、見つけたのだから。』
25. ところで、彼の兄は野にいた。そして、彼が帰って家の近くに来ると、彼は、音楽や踊っているのを聞いた。
26. そこで、彼は僕たちの一人を呼んだ。そして、これらのことは何事だと尋ねた。
27. すると、彼は彼に言った。『あなたの弟さんがお帰りになりました。そして、彼が無事で、健やかで戻ってこられたので、あなたのお父様は太った子牛をほふらせたのです。』
28. しかし、彼は怒り、そして、入ろうとしなかった。そこで、彼の父親は出てきて彼をなだめた。
29. すると、彼は彼の父親に答えて言った。『なんとまあ、何年間も私はあなたに仕えてきたのですよ。私はどんな時でも、あなたの言いつけに背いたことがありません。それでも（そして）あなたは私が友だちと楽しむために子羊一匹もくれませんでした。
30. それが、この、あなたの生計を放蕩で食い尽くしてしまった、あなたの息子が帰ってくると、すぐに彼のために太った子牛をほふるなんて。』
31. しかし、彼は彼に言った。『息子よ。あなたはいつも私と一緒ではないか。そして、私のものは全部おまえのものだ。
32． 私たちが喜んだり楽しんだりするのは、当然のことだ。おまえの兄弟は死んでいたのだ。しかし、生き返ってきた。また、なくしていたのに見つけたのだから。』」
Luk 15:1 And all the tax-collectors and sinners drew near to Him in order to hear Him.
Luk 15:2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receives sinners and eats with them.
Luk 15:3 And He spoke this parable to them, saying,
Luk 15:4 What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost until he finds it?
Luk 15:5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing.
Luk 15:6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost.
Luk 15:7 I say to you that likewise joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner who repents, more than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
Luk 15:8 Or what woman having ten drachmas, if she loses one drachma, does she not light a lamp and sweep the house, and seek carefully until she finds it?
Luk 15:9 And when she has found it, she calls her friends and her neighbors together, saying, Rejoice with me, for I have found the drachma which I had lost.
Luk 15:10 Likewise I say to you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
Luk 15:11 And He said, A certain man had two sons.
Luk 15:12 And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that is coming to me. And he divided his living to them.
Luk 15:13 And not many days afterward, the younger son gathered all together and went away into a far country. And there he wasted his property, living dissolutely.
Luk 15:14 And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land. And he began to be in want.
Luk 15:15 And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country. And he sent him into his fields to feed pigs.
Luk 15:16 And he was longing to fill his belly with the husks that the pigs ate, and no one gave to him.
Luk 15:17 And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father abound in loaves, and I perish with hunger!
Luk 15:18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and before you
Luk 15:19 and am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.
Luk 15:20 And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.
Luk 15:21 And the son said to him, Father, I have sinned against Heaven and before you, and am no more worthy to be called your son.
Luk 15:22 But the father said to his servants, Bring the best robe and put it on him. And put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet.
Luk 15:23 And bring the fattened calf here and kill it. And let us eat and be merry,
Luk 15:24 for this my son was dead and is alive again, he was lost and is found. And they began to be merry.
Luk 15:25 And his elder son was in the field. And as he came and drew near the house, he heard music and dancing.
Luk 15:26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant.
Luk 15:27 And he said to him, Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him safe and sound.
Luk 15:28 And he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and entreated him.
Luk 15:29 And answering he said to his father, Lo, these many years I have served you, neither did I transgress your commandment at any time. And yet you never gave me a kid so that I might make merry with my friends.
Luk 15:30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your living with harlots, you have killed for him the fattened calf.
Luk 15:31 And he said to him, Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.
Luk 15:32 It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.
