１９章

1.　それから、イエスはエリコに入って、そこを通過していかれました。

2.　ところで、見よ、ザカエウスという人がいました。彼は徴税請負人の頭であり、金持ちでした。

3.　そして、彼はイエスは誰かを見たいと[1]願ったが、群衆のためにできませんでした。彼は背が低かったからです。

4.　そこで彼は前の方に走って行き、それから、彼を見ようとして、一本のいちじくの木に登りました。彼がその道をお通りになるところだったからです。

5.　さて、その時イエスはその場所に来ると、彼は上を見上げ、そして、仰せられました。「ザカエウス、急いで下りて来なさい。私は今日、あなたの家に泊まらなければ[2]ならないのだから。」

6.　そこで、彼は急いで下りて来て、彼を喜んでお受入しました。

7.　しかし、それを見て、彼らは皆不平を漏らし、こう言いました。「彼は罪人の男と一緒に行って客になってしまった。」

8.　その時、ザカエウスは立ち上がり、それから、主に言いました。「ご覧下さい、主よ、私は私の財産の半分をあの貧しい人たちに施します。そして、もし私が誰かから何かを嘘の理由で取り立てていましたら、私はそれを四倍にして返還します。」

9.　すると、イエスは彼に仰せられました。「今日、救いがこの家に来た。彼もアブラハムの息子なのだから。

10.　人の子が来たのは、失われていた者を捜して救うためなのだ。」

11.　ところで、彼らがこれらのことを聞いていると、彼はもう一つのたとえ話を語られました。それは、彼がエルサレムに近づいていたからであり、また、彼らが天の神の王国はすぐにでも現れると思っていたからです。

12.　そこで、彼は仰せられました。「ある貴族が遠い国に、王位を受けて帰ってくるために出かけた。

13.　そこで、彼は彼の僕たち十人を呼んで、彼らに十ミナを渡した。それから、彼らに言った。『私が来るまで、[3]商売をしなさい。』

14.　しかし、彼の民達は彼を憎んでいた。そして、彼の後に代表団を送って、こう言わせた。『私たちはこの人が私たちを治めることを望んでいません。』

15.　さて、時が来て、彼がその王権を受けて帰って来た。それから彼は、金を渡していた僕たちに、彼のところに来るように命じた。それは、それぞれが、商売をしてどれだけ儲けたかを、彼が知るためであった。

16.　その時、最初の人が来て言った。「ご主人様、あなたのミナで十ミナを稼ぎました。」

17.　すると、彼は彼に言った。『良くやった。良い僕だ。おまえは非常にわずかなものに忠実だったから、十の町を治めよ。』

18.　また、二番目の者が来て、言った。『ご主人様、あなたのミナで５ミナを稼ぎました。』

19.　彼は同じように彼に言った。『おまえも五つの町を治めよ。』

20.　その時、もう一人が来て言った。『ご主人様、ここにあなたのミナがございます。私はそれをハンカチに包んで取っておきました。

21.　と申しますのは、私はあなたが厳格な方なので恐れていたからです。あなたはお預けにならなかったものを集め、お蒔きにならなったものを刈り取られます。』

22.　すると、彼は彼に言った。『お前の口から出た事でお前を裁くとしよう。お前は悪い僕だ。お前は私が厳しい人間で、預けもしなかったものを集め、蒔きもしなかったものを刈り取る者であると知っている。

23.　それなら、どうしてお前は私の金を、私が来た時には、利息と一緒にもらえるようにと、あの銀行に入れておかなかったのか。』

24.　それから、彼は近くに立っている者たちに言った。『そのミナを彼から取り上げ、そして、十ミナを持っている者に与えよ。

25.　すると、彼らは彼に言った。『ご主人様、彼は十ミナを持っていますが？』

26.　『私はあなたがたに言う。誰でも持っている者は与えられる。その上、持っていない者からは、彼が持っている物でさえ、（彼から）取り上げられる。

27.　しかし、私に治められたくないという、私の敵どもをここにつれて来い。そして、私の前で彼らを殺してしまえ。』」

28.　彼はこの事を語られると、顔を上げて、エルサレムへと上って行かれました。

29.　そして、しばらくして、彼が、オリーブと言われる山の近くの、ベスファゲーとベサニーの近くにまで来ると、彼は彼の弟子たちの中の二人を遣わして、

30.　こう仰せられました。「向かいにある、あの村に行きなさい。おまえたちがそこに入っていくと、その上に誰もまだ座ったことがない一頭の子馬を見つけるから、それを解いて、ここに引いてきなさい。

31.　そして、もし誰かがおまえたちに『どうしてそれを解くのか？』と尋ねたら、おまえたちは彼にこう答えなさい。『主がそれをお入用だからです。』と。」

32.　そこで、遣わされた人たちは、行って彼が彼に仰せられた通りに、その子馬（それ）を見つけたのです。

33.　しかし、彼らがその子馬を解いていると、それの持ち主が彼らに言いました。「どうして君たちはその子馬を解いているのか？」

34.　そこで、彼らは答えました。「主がこの子馬（彼）をお入用です。」

35.　それから、彼らはそれをイエスの所に引いてきて、彼らの着ている物をその子馬の上に投げかけ、そして、イエスをその上にお乗せしました。

36.　そして、彼が行くと、多くの人々は彼らの着物をその道に広げました。

37.　さて、彼が、オリーブ山の降り口の間近までおいでになると、弟子となっている全群衆は喜び、彼らが見てきた、その並外れた諸々のわざのゆえに、天の神を、大声で賛美し始め、

38.　こう言いました。「主の名によって来られている王に祝福を！平和は天に、そして、最も高き所に栄光があれ！」

39.　すると、ファリサイ派の人たちのある者は、その群衆の中から彼に呼びかけて「先生、先生、あなたの弟子たちを叱りなさい。」〔と言いました。〕

40.　しかし、彼は答え、そして、彼らに仰せられました。「私はあなたがたに言う。もし、この人たちが黙ったら、この諸々の石がすぐに叫ぶだろう。」

41.　ところで、近くまで来ると、彼はその都市を見て、そのために嘆き悲しんで、

42.　こう仰せられました。「もし、お前が知っていたなら。特に、このお前の日に、平和のための、この諸々の事をお前が知ってさえいたなら。しかし、今はそれらはお前の目から隠されている。

43.　お前の敵どもがお前の周りに土手を築き、お前を取り囲み、そして、あらゆる方向からお前に押し迫り、

44.　それから、お前を倒し、その上、お前の中にいる子供たちを地に投げ倒す時が来る。また彼らはお前の中にある石一つも他の石の上に残さない。お前がお前の訪れの時を知らなかったからだ。」

45.　それから、彼は神殿に入って行き、その中で売ったり買ったりしている者たちを追い出し始め、

46.　彼らにこう仰せられました。「こう書いてある『私の家は祈り人の家である。』しかし、お前たちはそれを泥棒の巣にしてしまっている。」

47.　そして、彼は毎日神殿で教えをなさっていました。しかし、祭司の長たちや、律法学者たち、そして、人々の指導者たちは彼を破滅させる方法を探していました。

48.　しかし、何もできないでいました。人々が皆彼の言うことを謹聴していたからです。

Luke 19
Luk 19:1  And going in, He passed through Jericho.
Luk 19:2  And behold, there was a man named Zaccheus, who was a chief tax-collector. And he was rich.
Luk 19:3  And he sought to see Jesus, to see who He was. And he could not because of the press, because he was little in stature.
Luk 19:4  And he ran in front and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him. For He was to pass through that way.
Luk 19:5  And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him. And He said to him, Zaccheus! Hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.
Luk 19:6  And hurrying he came down, and received Him joyfully.
Luk 19:7  And seeing, they all murmured, saying, He has gone in to stay with a sinful man.
Luk 19:8  And Zaccheus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, I give half of my goods to the poor. And in anything I accused anyone falsely, I restore it fourfold.
Luk 19:9  And Jesus said to him, This day salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
Luk 19:10  For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Luk 19:11  And as they heard these things, He added and spoke a parable, because He was near Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God was about to appear immediately.
Luk 19:12  Therefore He said, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive a kingdom for himself, and to return.
Luk 19:13  And He called his ten servants and delivered ten minas, and said to them, Trade until I come back.
Luk 19:14  But his citizens hated him. And they sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this one to reign over us.
Luk 19:15  And when he had received his kingdom and had returned, then it happened that he commanded these servants to be called to him; the ones to whom he had given the silver; so that he might know what each had gained by trading.
Luk 19:16  And came the first, saying, Lord, your mina has gained ten minas.
Luk 19:17  And he said to him, Well done, good servant, because you have been faithful in a least thing, have authority over ten cities.
Luk 19:18  And the second came, saying, Lord, your mina has made five minas.
Luk 19:19  And he said the same to him, You be over five cities.
Luk 19:20  And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is your mina, which I have kept in a handkerchief.
Luk 19:21  For I feared you, because you are a harsh man. You take up what you did not lay down, and you reap what you did not sow.
Luk 19:22  And he said to him, I will judge you out of your own mouth, wicked servant! You knew that I was a harsh man, taking up what I had not laid down and reaping what I did not sow.
Luk 19:23  And why did you not give my silver on the bank table, and coming I might have exacted it with interest?
Luk 19:24  And he said to those who stood by, Take the mina from him and give it to him who has ten minas.
Luk 19:25  And they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas.
Luk 19:26  For I say to you that to everyone who has, more will be given. And from him who has not, even that which he has will be taken from him.
Luk 19:27  But those who are my enemies, who did not desire that I should reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.
Luk 19:28  And saying these things, He went in front, going up to Jerusalem.
Luk 19:29  And it happened as He drew near Bethphage and Bethany, toward the mount called Mount of Olives, He sent two of the disciples,
Luk 19:30  saying, Go into the village across from you, and having entered, you will find a colt tied up, on which no one of men has yet sat. Untie it and bring it.
Luk 19:31  And if anyone asks you, Why are you untying it? You will say this to him, Because the Lord has need of it.
Luk 19:32  And going, those who were sent found as He had said to them.
Luk 19:33  And as they were untying the colt, its owners said to them, Why are you untying the colt?
Luk 19:34  And they said, The Lord has need of him.
Luk 19:35  And they brought him to Jesus. And they threw their garments on the colt. And they set Jesus on it.
Luk 19:36  And as He went, they spread their clothes in the way.
Luk 19:37  And when He had come near, even now at the descent of the Mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen,
Luk 19:38  saying, Blessed is the King coming in the name of the Lord! Peace in Heaven and glory in the highest!
Luk 19:39  And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, Teacher, rebuke your disciples.
Luk 19:40  And He answered and said to them, I tell you that if these should be silent, the stones would cry out.
Luk 19:41  And as He drew near, He beheld the city and wept over it,
Luk 19:42  saying, If you had known, even you, even at least in this day of yours, the things for your peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
Luk 19:43  For the days will come on you that your enemies will raise up a rampart to you, and will surround you, and will keep you in on every side.
Luk 19:44  And they will tear you down, and your children within you, and will not leave a stone on a stone because you did not know the time of your visitation.
Luk 19:45  And entering into the temple, He began to cast out those selling and buying in it,
Luk 19:46  saying to them, It is written, "My house is a house of prayer," but you have made it a den of thieves.
Luk 19:47  And He taught in the temple daily. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy Him.
Luk 19:48  And they could not find what they might do, for all the people were hanging on Him, listening.
