９章
1. その時彼はご自分の十二弟子たちを呼び、彼らにすべてのダイモニオン（ダイモニオン）どもに優り、また諸々の病気を回復させる力と権威とを授けられました。
2. また彼は、彼らを天の神の王国を説教し、病を癒すために遣わされました。
3. そして、彼は彼らに仰せられました。「旅のために何も持たずに行きなさい。杖は二本は持たず、袋も、パンも金も、また、チューニックも二枚はいらない。
4. どの家でも、おまえたちが入ったらそこに留まり、そして、そこから出発しなさい。
5. そして、誰もおまえたちを受けいれないなら、その時は、その町を出て行く時に、彼らに対する証しのためにおまえたちの両足からちりをふるい落としなさい。」
6. そこで、彼らは出発して町々に行き、福音を説教し、また、どこででも癒しをなしました。
7. ところで、四分割領主ヘロデは彼によってなされた全ての事を聞いて、彼は当惑していました。なぜなら、それをある人はヨハネが死からよみがえってしているのだと言い、
8. また、ある人はエリヤが現れたと言い、また、他の人たちは、昔の預言者たちの一人がよみがえったと言っていました。
9. ヘロデは言いました。「ヨハネは自分が首をはねた。しかし、余が聞いているこれらの事は、誰の事なのだ？」そこで、彼は彼に会いたいと思いました。
10. さて、使徒たちは帰ってから、彼らがしたことを皆彼に話しました。すると、彼は彼らを連れて、ベスサイダという町の中の人気のない場所にひそかに行かれました。
11. しかし、群衆たちは、それを知って彼について行きました。そこで彼は彼らを受入れ、彼らに天の神の王国について語られました。また、癒される必要のある人はお癒しになりました。
12. 日が暗くなってきたので、十二弟子たちは来て彼に言いました。「群衆を去らせてください。そして、彼らをまわりの町々や村々に行かせ、泊まったり、食べ物を取れるようにしてあげてください。私たちはさびれた場所にいるのですから。」
13. しかし、彼は彼らに仰せられました。「おまえたちが彼らに何か食べさせてあげなさい。」すると、彼らは言いました。「私たちは五つのパンと二匹の魚のほかには何もありません。私たちは行って、食べ物をこの人たち皆のために買わないと。」
14. そこにはおよそ五千人の男性がいたからです。その時、イエスは彼の弟子たちに仰せられました。「彼らを五十人の組にして座らせなさい。」
15. そこで、彼らはそのように、彼らを全部座らせました。
16. それから、彼は五つのパンと二匹の魚とを取り、天を見上げ、彼はそれらを祝福して裂き、そして、弟子たちが群衆にあげられるようにと渡されました。
17. そこで、彼らは皆食べて満腹しました。また、彼らは食べ残した物を十二の手かごに拾い上げました。
18. さて、彼が祈っておられる時に、彼の弟子たちが彼と一緒になりました。そこで、彼は彼らに尋ねてこう仰せられました。「群衆は、私のことを誰だと言っているのか？」
19. そこで、彼らは彼に答えて言いました。「バプテスマのヨハネだと言っていますが、ある人はエリヤだと言っています。また、他の人々は、昔の預言者の一人がよみがえっているのだと言っています。」
20. 彼は彼らに仰せられました。「それでは、おまえたちは私を誰というか？」ペテロが答えて言いました。「天の神のキリストです。」
21. すると、彼は彼らに厳しく警告して彼らがこの事を誰にも言わないように命じて、
22. こう仰せられました。「人の子は多くのことで苦しまなければならない。その上、長老たちや祭司の長たちや、法学者たちに拒否され、そして殺される。それから、三日目によみがえる。」
23. それから、彼は彼ら皆に仰せられました。「もし、誰でも私についてきたいなら、彼は彼自身を否定し、日々、自分の十字架を取り上げ、それから、私に着いて来なさい。
25. もし、彼がこの世界の全てを得ても、彼自身が滅びたり失われたりしたら何の益があるのか？
26. 誰でも私と私の諸々の言葉とを恥ずかしいと思うなら、その人を人の子も彼が自分の（彼の）栄光と彼の父の栄光の中に、聖なる使いたちと来る時には、その人を恥じる。
27. しかし、わたしはおまえたちに本当の事を言うが、天の神の王国を見るまでは死を味わうことがない人々が、ここに立っている人々の中にいる。」
28. さて、これらのことが語られてから八日後、彼はペテロ、ヨハネ、そして、ヤコブを連れて、山に祈るために登って行かれました。
29. そして、彼が祈っていると、彼の顔の様子が変わり、また、彼の衣服は白くなり、輝いていました。
30. そして、見よ、二人の男性が彼と一緒にいました。彼らはモーセとエリヤでした。
32. しかし、ペテロや彼と一緒にいた者たちはひどい眠気がさしていました。そして、彼らが完全に目を覚ました時に、彼らは彼の栄光と共に二人の男性が彼と一緒に立っているのを見たのです。
33. さて、彼らが彼から離れていこうとしている時、ペテロはイエスに言いました。「主よ、私たちがここにいるのは素晴らしい事です。私たちに幕屋を三つ建てさせてください。一つはあなたのためです。一つはモーセのために、そして、エリヤのためにもひとつを。」彼は何を言えばいいのか、分からなかったのです。
34. 彼がこの事を言っている間に、一つの雲が来て彼らを覆い隠しました。その上、彼らが雲の中に入ったので恐れていました。
35. すると、雲から声があって、こう仰せになりました。「これは、わたしの愛する息子だ。彼に聞きなさい！」
36. 声が止むと、イエスがおひとりでおられました。しかし、彼らは黙っていました。そして、その頃は、彼らが見たことは誰にも何も言いませんでした。
37. さて、次の日、彼らがその山から下山すると、非常に多くの群集が彼に会いました。
38. 突然、群衆の一人の男性が叫んでこう言いました。「先生、私はあなたにお願します。私の息子を見てやってください。彼は私の一人子なんです。
39. そして、見てください、霊が彼を捕らえるのです。すると、彼は突然絶叫します。それは、彼を悶えさせてその口から泡を吐かせます。そして、それはなかなか出て行かないで彼を傷つけています。
40. それで、私はあなたの弟子たちにそれを追い出してもらうようにお願いしました。でも、彼らにはできませんでした。」
41. その時、イエスは答えて仰せられました。「ああ、不信仰で邪悪な世代だ。いつまで私は、あなたがたと一緒にいなければならないのか。また、いつまであなたがたに耐えられようか？あなたの息子をここにつれて来なさい。」
42. そして、彼が来ている時にもダイモニオン（ダイモニオン）は彼を引き倒し、悶えさせていました。その時イエスはその汚れた霊を叱ってその子を癒し、彼を父親にお返しになりました。
43. そこで、彼らは皆その天の神の威光に目を見張ったのです。しかし、皆がイエスがなさったその諸々のことに仰天している間に、彼は彼の弟子たちに仰せられました。
44. 「これらのことを（言葉を）耳に入れておきなさい。人の子は、間もなく裏切られて人々の手に渡されるから。」
45. しかし、彼らはこの仰せを理解しませんでした。その事が彼らには隠されていたので、彼らは悟らなかったのです。また、彼らはこの仰せについて彼に尋ねることを恐れていました。
46. その時、彼らの間に誰が一番偉いだろうかという議論が起きました。
47. すると、イエスは彼らの心の中にある思いに気付き、小さな子供を連れてきて、彼を彼のそばにおき、
47. それから、彼らに仰せられました。「誰でもこの子供を私の名前によって受け入れているなら、私を受け入れている。また、誰でも私を受け入れているなら、その人は私をお遣わしになった方を受け入れている。おまえたちの中で最も小さい人こそ、最も偉大になるからだ。」
49. ところで、ヨハネは答えて言いました。「主よ、私たちはあなたのお名前でダイモニオン（ダイモニオン）を投げ出している人を見ました。それで（そこで）彼にそれを禁じました。彼が私たちと一緒について行こうとしないからです。」
50. しかし、イエスは彼に仰せられました。「その人（彼）を禁じてはいけない。私たちに反対しない人は、私たちの味方なのだ。」
51． さて、彼が〔天に〕上げられる時が近づいてきたので、彼はご自分の（彼の）顔をエルサレムにしっかりと据え、
52. そして、使者をご自分に先立って送られました。さて、彼らは進んで行って、彼のために備ようと、サマリアの村の一つに入りました。
53. しかし、その村の人々（彼ら）は彼を受け入れませんでした。彼の顔がエルサレムへ向いていたからです。
54. すると、彼の弟子たちのヤコブとヨハネはこれを見て（彼らは）言いました。「主よ、あなたは、私たちがエリヤのように天から火を下して、彼らを消滅させるように命令をしようと望まれませんか？」
55. しかし、彼は振り向いて彼らを叱り、それから、仰せられました。「おまえたちは、おまえたちの霊がどんな状態でいるのかわかっていない。
57. ところで、彼らの旅の途中で、ある人が彼に言いました。「主よ、私はあなたの行くところならどこへでも従って参ります。」
58. すると、イエスは彼に仰せられました。「狐たちは穴がある。また、空の諸々の鳥は巣を持っている。しかし、人の子は頭のおきどころさえない。」
59. それから、彼は他の人に仰せられました。「私についてきなさい。」しかし彼は言いました。「主よ、まず行って私の父を葬らせてください。」
60. イエスは彼に仰せられました。「その死人は、彼らの死人に葬らせておきなさい。しかし、あなたは行って、天の神の王国を説教しなさい。」
61. また、他の人も言いました。「主よ、私はあなたに従います。しかし、まず家人たちに別れの挨拶をさせて下さい。」
62. しかし、イエスは彼に仰せられました。「自分の手を鋤につけてから後ろの事を振り向く者は、誰も天の神の王国にふさわしくない。」
Luke 9
Luk 9:1 And He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons and to cure diseases.
Luk 9:2 And He sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
Luk 9:3 And He said to them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staffs, nor a bag, nor bread, nor money, nor each to have two tunics.
Luk 9:4 And whatever house you enter into, abide there and depart from there.
Luk 9:5 And whoever will not receive you, when you go out of that city shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.
Luk 9:6 And they departed and went through the towns, proclaiming the gospel and healing everywhere.
Luk 9:7 And Herod the tetrarch heard of all the things happening by Him. And he was perplexed, because it was said by some that John had risen from the dead;
Luk 9:8 and by some, that Elijah had appeared; and by others, that one of the old prophets had risen again.
Luk 9:9 And Herod said, John I have beheaded, but who is this of whom I hear such things? And he desired to see Him.
Luk 9:10 And returning, the apostles told Him all that they had done. And He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place of a city called Bethsaida.
Luk 9:11 But knowing this, the crowds followed Him. And He received them and spoke to them of the kingdom of God, and He healed those who had need of healing.
Luk 9:12 But the day began to wear away, and coming up the Twelve said to Him, Send the crowd away so that they may go into the villages and farms all around, and lodge, and get food. For we are here in a deserted place.
Luk 9:13 But He said to them, You give them something to eat. And they said, We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people.
Luk 9:14 (For they were about five thousand men.) And He said to His disciples, Make them recline by fifties in a company.
Luk 9:15 And they did so, and made them all recline.
Luk 9:16 And He took the five loaves and the two fish. And looking up to Heaven, He blessed them and broke, and He gave to the disciples to set before the crowd.
Luk 9:17 And they ate and were all filled. And there was taken up twelve hand baskets full of fragments of that left over to them.
Luk 9:18 And it happened as He was alone praying, the disciples were with Him. And He asked them, saying, Whom do the crowds say that I am?
Luk 9:19 Answering, they said, John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah, and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again.
Luk 9:20 He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Answering, Peter said, The Christ of God.
Luk 9:21 And He strictly charged them and commanded to tell no one this,
Luk 9:22 saying, The Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
Luk 9:23 And He said to all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
Luk 9:24 For whoever will save his life shall lose it, but whoever will lose his life for My sake, he shall save it.
Luk 9:25 For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world and loses himself, or is cast away?
Luk 9:26 For whoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My Words, the Son of Man shall be ashamed of him when He shall come in His own and in His Father's glory, and that of the holy angels.
Luk 9:27 But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste of death until they see the kingdom of God.
Luk 9:28 And about eight days after these sayings, He took Peter and John and James and went up into a mountain to pray.
Luk 9:29 And as He prayed, the appearance of His countenance was altered, and His clothing was dazzling white.
Luk 9:30 And behold, two men talked with Him, who were Moses and Elijah,
Luk 9:31 who appeared in glory and spoke of His exodus, which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem.
Luk 9:32 But Peter and those with him were heavy with sleep. But fully awakening, they saw His glory, and the two men who stood with Him.
Luk 9:33 And in their parting from Him, it happened that Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three tabernacles, one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah; not knowing what he said.
Luk 9:34 And as he was saying these things, a cloud came and overshadowed them. And they feared as they entered into the cloud.
Luk 9:35 And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, the Beloved, hear Him.
Luk 9:36 And when the voice occurred, Jesus was found alone. And they were silent, and told no one in those days anything which they had seen.
Luk 9:37 And it happened on the next day, they coming down from the mountain, a huge crowd met Him.
Luk 9:38 And behold, a man cried aloud from the crowd, saying, Teacher, I beseech You, look on my son, for he is my only-born son.
Luk 9:39 And lo, a spirit takes him, and he suddenly cries out. And it throws him into convulsions, with foaming, and with pain departs from him, bruising him.
Luk 9:40 And I begged Your disciples to cast him out, and they could not.
Luk 9:41 And answering, Jesus said, O unbelieving generation, one having been perverted, how long shall I be with you and endure you? Bring your son here.
Luk 9:42 And as he was still coming, the demon violently convulsed and tore him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit and healed the child and delivered him again to his father.
Luk 9:43 And they were all amazed at the majesty of God. But as all were marveling at all things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples,
Luk 9:44 Let these words sink down into your ears. For the Son of Man shall be betrayed into the hands of men.
Luk 9:45 But they did not understand this, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it. And they feared to ask Him of this word.
Luk 9:46 And an argument came in among them, who might be the greater of them.
Luk 9:47 And seeing the argument of their heart, Jesus took a child and set him beside Him.
Luk 9:48 And He said to them, Whoever shall receive this child in My name receives Me. And whoever shall receive Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all, he shall be great.
Luk 9:49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out demons in Your name. And we prevented him, because he does not follow us.
Luk 9:50 And Jesus said to him, Do not prevent him, for he who is not against us is for us.
Luk 9:51 And it happened in the fulfilling of the days of His taking up, He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem.
Luk 9:52 And He sent messengers before His face. And they went and entered into a village of the Samaritans to make ready for Him.
Luk 9:53 And they did not receive Him, because His face was going toward Jerusalem.
Luk 9:54 And seeing, His disciples James and John said, Lord, do You desire that we command fire to come down from Heaven and consume them, even as Elijah did?
Luk 9:55 But He turned and rebuked them and said, You do not know of what spirit you are.
Luk 9:56 For the Son of Man has not come to destroy men's lives, but to save. And they went to another village.
Luk 9:57 And it happened as they were going in the way, one said to Him, Lord, I will follow You wherever You go.
Luk 9:58 And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.
Luk 9:59 And He said to another, Follow Me! But he said, Lord, first allow me to go and bury my father.
Luk 9:60 Jesus said to him, Let the dead bury their dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.
Luk 9:61 And another also said, Lord, I will follow You, but first allow me to take leave of those in my house.
Luk 9:62 And Jesus said to him, No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
