２０章
1. さて、その頃、彼が神殿で人々に教え、また福音を説教をなさっていると、祭司の長たちと、律法学者たちが、長老たちと一緒になって、彼と対決しました。
2. そして、彼に語ってこう言いました。「我々に言え。何の権威によって、お前はこれらのことをしているのか？また、お前にこの権威を与えたのは誰だ？」
3. しかし、彼は答え、そして、彼らに仰せられました。「私もまた、あなたがたに一つ聞こう。私に答えなさい。
4. ヨハネのバプテスマは天からのものか、それとも、人間からのものか？」
5. すると、彼らは彼らの間で議論して言いました。「もし、我々が『天からだ』と言うなら、彼は言うだろう。『では、どうしてあなたがたは彼を信じなかったのか？』と。
6. しかし、もし、我々が『人間からだ』と言うなら、民は皆で我々に石を投げつけるだろう。彼らはヨハネが預言者だと確信しているんだから。」
7. そこで彼らは、それがどこからのものかは知らないと答えました。
8. すると、イエスは彼らに仰せられました。「私も何の権威によってこれらの事をしているのかを、あなたがたには言うまい。」
9. その時、彼はその人々にこのたとえを話し始められました。「ある男性が、ぶどう園を作り、（植え、）ぶどう園の園丁たちにそれを貸した。それから、遠い国に、長期間出かけて行った。
10. さて、ぶどうの収穫時期になったので、彼は一人の僕をそのぶどう園の園丁達のところに送って、彼らからそのぶどう園の収穫をいくらか渡してもらおうとした。しかし、その園丁たちは彼を殴り、その上、何も持たせないで送り去らせた。
11. また、彼は他の僕を送った。すると、彼らは彼も殴り、彼にひどい扱いをし、そして、何も持たせずに送り去らせた。
12. また、三度目に彼は送った。すると、彼らは彼にも傷を負わせ、そして、追い払った。
13. その時、そのぶどう園の所有者は言った。『私はどうしたらよかろうか？自分の愛息子を送ろう。多分、彼らは彼を見たら敬うだろう。』
14. しかし、そのぶどう園の園丁たちは、彼を見ると、仲間内で話し合って言った。『これこそ、あの後継ぎだ。来い。さあ、彼を殺してしまえ。そうしたら、この遺産は俺達のものになるだろう。』
15. そこで、彼らは彼をそのぶどう園の外に追い出し、その上、彼を殺した。そうしたら、そのぶどう園の所有者は彼らをどうするだろうか？
16. 彼はやって来て、それらの園丁たちを滅ぼし、そして、他の園丁たちに与えるのだ。」すると、彼らはそれを聞いて言いました。「もちろんそうだ！」
17. その時、彼は彼らを見つめ、それから、仰せられました。「それなら、『建築家たちが受け付けなかった、その石が、隅の頭石になった。』と書かれているのは何のことか？
18. 誰でもその石の上に落ちるなら、その人は砕かれる。しかし、誰でもそれがその人の上に落ちるなら、彼は粉微塵になる。」
19. すると、祭司の長たちや、律法学者たちは、実にその時、彼に手をかけたいと願ったが、彼らは人々を恐れていました。彼がこのたとえを彼らに対してお語りになったことを悟ったからです。
20. そこで、彼らは彼を見張っていて、彼に言いがかりをつけて、総督の権力と権威とに渡そうと、義人を装うスパイを送りました。
21. その時、彼らは彼に問うて、こう言いました。「先生、私たちはあなたが正しく語り、また教えておられる事を知っています。また、あなたはご自分の好みではなく、真理によって、天の神の道を教えておられます。
22. 私たちがカエサルに諸々の税金を納めることは、法にかなっていることでしょうか？」
23. しかし、彼は彼らの企みを読み取り、そして、彼らに仰せられました。「どうしてあなたがたは私を試みるのか？
24. 私にデナリを見せなさい。それにあるのは、誰の像なのか。また誰の銘なのか？」彼らは答えて言いました。「カエサルのものです。」
25. すると、彼は彼らに仰せられました。「それなら、それがカエサルのものなら、カエサルに納めなさい。また、天の神のものなら、天の神に〔納めなさい〕。」
26. 彼らは人々の前で、彼の言葉を捕らえる事ができず、彼の答に目を見張り、沈黙しました。
27. その時、サドカイ派の数人が・・彼らは復活の存在を否定しているが、・・彼の所に来て、尋ねて
28. こう言いました。「先生、モーセは私たちに、もし、ある人の兄弟が死んで、妻がいたら、また、彼が子供がなくて死んだら、彼の兄弟は彼の妻を娶り、そして、彼の兄弟のために子孫を起さなければならないと書きました。
29. ところで、ここに七人の兄弟たちがいました。そして、最初の者が妻を娶りましたが、子供がないまま死にました。
30. また、二番目の者が彼女を妻として娶りましたが、子供がないまま死にました。
31. その時、三番目の者が彼女を娶りました。それから、七番目の者までも、同じようでありました。そして、彼らは誰も子供がないままで死にました。
32. 最後に、女性も死にました。
33. それでは、復活にあたっては、彼女は誰の妻となるのですか？七人全部が彼女を妻としていたのですが。」
34. すると、イエスは答えて彼らに仰せられました。「この世代の子らは、娶ったり嫁いだりしている。
35. しかし、かの時代を獲得するにふさわしいと見なされている人々で、死から復活した人々は、娶る事も嫁ぐ事もない。
36. また、彼らはもはや死ぬ事があり得ない。復活した子たちは、御使いと等しい者であり、また天の神の息子たちであるからだ。
37. しかし、モーセでさえも、燃えている柴の一節のなかで、『アブラハムの神、イサクの神、ヤコブの神』と、主を呼ぶことによって、死人はよみがらされることを教えている。
38. だから、彼は死人の神ではなく、生きている者の神なのだ。全ての者は彼に対して生きているからだ。」
39. その時、律法学者の数人が答えて言いました。「先生、あなたは正しく答えられた。」
40. しかしその後は彼らは彼に誰も敢えて問おうとしませんでした。
41. そして、彼は彼らに仰せられました。「どうして彼らはキリストがダビデの息子だと言えるのか？
42. ダビデ自身が詩篇で、『主は私の主に仰せられました。「私の右に座っていなさい。
43. 私がおまえの諸々の敵を、おまえの足台とするまでは。」』と言った。
44. ダビデが彼を『主』と」呼んでいるなら、どうして彼はダビデの息子なのか？」
45. さて、人々が皆聞いている時、彼はご自分の弟子たちに仰せられました。
46. 「律法学者たちに注意していなさい。あの人たちは長い服を着て行き巡るのが好きで、諸々の市場で挨拶をする事や、シナゴーグの一番良い席に着く事、また諸々の祭りで、一番良い席に着きたがっている。
47. 彼らはやもめたちの家を貪っており、その上、口実として諸々の長い祈りをしている。これらはひどい罪の宣告を受ける。」Luke 20
Luk 20:2 And they spoke to Him, saying, Tell us, by what authority do you do these things? Or who is he who gave you this authority?
Luk 20:3 And He answered and said to them, I will also ask you one thing, and you answer me:
Luk 20:4 The baptism of John, was it from Heaven or from men?
Luk 20:5 And they reasoned within themselves, saying, If we shall say, From Heaven, he will say, Why then did you not believe him?
Luk 20:6 But if we say, From men, then all the people will stone us, for they are persuaded that John was a prophet.
Luk 20:7 And they answered that they could not tell from where it was.
Luk 20:8 And Jesus said to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
Luk 20:9 And He began to speak to the people this parable: A certain man planted a vineyard and let it out to vinedressers. And he went into a far country for a long time.
Luk 20:10 And in season he sent a servant to the vinedressers, so that they should give him the fruit of the vineyard. But the vinedressers beat him and sent him away empty.
Luk 20:11 And again he sent another servant. And they also beat him and treated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
Luk 20:12 And again he sent a third. And they also wounded him and cast him out.
Luk 20:13 And the lord of the vineyard said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son. It may be that they will respect him when they see him.
Luk 20:14 But when the vinedressers saw him, they reasoned among themselves, saying, This is the heir! Come, let us kill him so that the inheritance may be ours.
Luk 20:15 So they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then shall the lord of the vineyard do to them?
Luk 20:16 He shall come and destroy these vinedressers and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard this, they said, Let it not be!
Luk 20:17 And He looked at them and said, What then is this which is written, "The Stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the Head of the corner?
Luk 20:18 Whoever shall fall on that Stone shall be broken, but on whomever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder."
Luk 20:19 And the chief priests and the scribes sought to lay hands on Him the same hour. And they feared the people, for they perceived that He had spoken this parable against them.
Luk 20:20 And they watched and sent forth spies, pretending themselves to be righteous men, so that they might seize upon a word of His, that they might deliver Him in this way to the power and authority of the governor.
Luk 20:21 And they asked Him, saying, Teacher, we know that you say and teach rightly, and do not accept the person of anyone, but truly teach the way of God.
Luk 20:22 Is it lawful for us to give tribute to Caesar or not?
Luk 20:23 But He perceived their craftiness and said to them, Why do you tempt Me?
Luk 20:24 Show Me a coin. Whose image and inscription does it have? They answered and said, Caesar's.
Luk 20:25 And He said to them, Therefore render to Caesar the things which are Caesar's, and to God the things which are God's.
Luk 20:26 And they could not take hold of His words before the people. And they marveled at His answer and were silent.
Luk 20:27 And certain of the Sadducees came, those speaking against a resurrection, that it was not to be. And they asked Him,
Luk 20:28 saying, Teacher, Moses wrote to us, If anyone's brother dies, having a wife, and if he dies without children, his brother should take his wife and raise up seed to his brother.
Luk 20:29 Therefore there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife and died without children.
Luk 20:30 And the second took her as a wife, and he died childless.
Luk 20:31 And the third took her. And likewise the seven left no children and died.
Luk 20:32 Last of all the woman also died.
Luk 20:33 Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be? For the seven had her as a wife.
Luk 20:34 And answering, Jesus said to them, The sons of this world marry and are given in marriage,
Luk 20:35 but they who shall be counted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage.
Luk 20:36 Nor can they die any more, for they are equal to the angels, and are the sons of God, being the sons of the resurrection.
Luk 20:37 But that the dead are raised, even Moses pointed out at the Bush, when he called the Lord the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Luk 20:38 For He is not God of the dead, but of the living. For all live to Him.
Luk 20:39 And answering, certain of the scribes said, Teacher, you have spoken well.
Luk 20:40 And after that they did not dare ask Him anything.
Luk 20:41 And He said to them, How do they say that Christ is the Son of David?
Luk 20:42 Even David himself says in the Book of Psalms, "The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right hand
Luk 20:43 until I place Your enemies as Your footstool."
Luk 20:44 David then calls Him Lord; how then is He his son?
Luk 20:45 And as all the people were listening, He said to the disciples,
Luk 20:46 Beware of the scribes who desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the first seats in the synagogues, and the chief places at the feasts;
Luk 20:47 who devour widows' houses, and make long prayers for a show; the same shall receive a more severe condemnation.
